M.Y.S.E.L.F. Ministries
The purpose and goal of M.Y.S.E.L.F. Ministries is to establish a unity between teens, adults, and the community while helping those families in need.
This ministry will go out into the community and help with small household projects for those who are not able to do for themselves. As requests are received for assistance an inspection will be done and a determination made as to whether or not we can provide the necessary help.
Teens will benefit in several ways including volunteer service hours, learning various trades and the self-satisfaction of helping those in need. For their time they will also earn activity rewards. Various companies will be asked to donate materials, monies or reward activities such as go-cart rides, amusement park admittance, movie tickets, etc.
Adults will benefit from this as they put their hearts and hands to work helping those in need and teaching teens by the "hands-on" method. Requests will be made of skilled men and women in the community to participate in volunteer projects in and around our neighborhoods. Each adult will be categorized as per trade experience and then called upon to help as that specific trade is needed. Other volunteers may be listed as physically able to perform general tasks such as grass cutting, weeding, etc. No offer of help will be turned away.
Initially we may need assistance purchasing material, but through donations and fundraisers the goal is to be a self-supporting ministry.
By setting aside one weekend a month we can bless our neighbors with a few hours of our time and instill a sense of value and community in our teens.
